◈ After nearly 30 years in industry working in Supply Chain, Operations and Procurement, Melani Wilson Smith launched MDWSCo, a supply chain advisory, impact and investment firm. MDWSCo seeks to bring together business operations with deep insight and knowledge about consumers, markets and suppliers and to help organizations drive innovation and growth from their supply chains.
◈ Melani Wilson Smith has extensive experience across procurement, supply chain and operations. Before starting MDWSCo, Melani was the Chief Procurement Office for PepsiCo where she led an organization of more than 1400 people with a spend of $40+B.
◈ Melani has a track record of delivering supply assurance, productivity, revenue, growing supplier relationships and building strategic capabilities and innovation, helping to drive organization growth. Her experience includes roles of increasing responsibility across the consumer products and pharmaceuticals industries with Mondelēz International, Merck & Co., Pfizer, Procter & Gamble and consulting. Melani has worked in global and domestic Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and consulting and she is recognized as a leader in culture and transformation.
◈ Melani holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. She lives in the Dallas Forth Worth Metroplex with her husband Phil and twins, Peyton and Wilson
